Officials Break Ground on Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal

BARRIE, Ontario – The City of Barrie announced Mayor Alex Nuttall, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks Andrea Khanjin, and Member of Provincial Parliament Doug Downey gathered on May 31st for a groundbreaking at the future site of the Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal.

The project has two major components: the Barrie Allandale Transit Terminal and the Downtown Mini Hub. The Mini Hub includes bus stops and sheltered waiting areas located on Maple Avenue. The Transit Terminal will be located in Barrie’s Allandale area and host services and connections between Simcoe County, Muskoka, and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
