The Development and Master Construction Agreement (DMCA) includes a multi-stage design process, or development phase, that “allows for a collaborative approach between Metrolinx as the project owner and Paper North Connect as the contracting partner, who work together to finalize the scope, risk allocation and pricing of various elements of this contract.”

The Pape North Connect team includes: 1) the applicant leads: Webuild Civil Work Inc., Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC) Canada Ltd.; 2) the design team: Arcadis Professional Services (Canada) Inc., AECOM Canada Ltd.; 3) the construction team: Webuild Civil Work Inc., Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas (FCC) Canada Ltd.

The work includes:

  • Three kilometers of twin tunnels under Pape Avenue
  • Two tunnel portals at Gerrard Avenue and Minton Place

  • Three emergency exit/service buildings
