Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on Commuter Rail Industry Challenges and Solutions

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee Chairman Troy Nehls (R-TX) announced that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing to examine the challenges facing the commuter rail industry.

Commuter rail and transit depends on significant infrastructure, much of which is for its exclusive use, and the health of the industry will drive how well this infrastructure can be maintained. DCL
The Subcommittee will explore the obstacles facing commuter rail providers and opportunities to address issues through legislation. The hearing will be held at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in 2167 Rayburn House Office Building.
