Focused Technology Solutions launches SpikeForce

Focused Technology Solutions —a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company— has announced the development of the first ever battery-operated spike driver, the “SpikeForce.”
The all-new SpikeForce, paired with the award-winning SpikeEase spike puller, will completely eliminate the need for the claw bar, as well as hydraulic fluid, hoses and generators.
“The SpikeForce is going to change the railroad industry like no other tool has,” Peter Bartek, President of FTS, said. “With the amount of money rail yards are going to save from potential injuries, the purchasing of hydraulics/gas and the waste that is generated from those fluids, it’s a no brainer.”
Like FTS’ other tools, the SpikeForce will operate using a standard, off-the-shelf Milwaukee drill. Unlike the other FTS battery-operated products, however, the SpikeForce will have the capability to dock two batteries on the tool at once, allowing for increased production.
