WASHINGTON, D.C. – Amtrak is investing $260 million in infrastructure improvements along the Northeast Corridor during the summer.
The departments of transportation in Minnesota (MnDOT) and New Jersey (NJDOT) are investing $6.95 million and $27.8 million, respectively, in projects that will improve freight rail infrastructure.
Ten railroad projects in New Jersey will receive financial assistance from the state’s Department of Transportation.
Charles N. “Charlie” Marshall, a former executive at Genesee & Wyoming Inc. and Conrail, is giving $600,000 to support Penn State University’s Rail Transportation Engineering (RTE) degree program.
