The Ohio Rail Development Commission (Rail Commission) on May 11 approved a grant of up to $750,000 to Columbus & Ohio River Rail Road (CUOH), a Genesee & Wyoming, Inc. Company, to improve capacity at the Class II’s Newark Yard and mitigate the possibility of blocked railroad crossings in Zanesville, Ohio.
On September 15, 2021, the Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) approved grant funding to Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway (WLE) in the amount of $125,000 to improve the clearance of a railroad bridge over a state route in Tuscarawas County.
On May 12, 2021, the Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) approved a grant in the amount of $1,564,051 to Cleveland and Cuyahoga Railway (CCRL).
The condition of the Indiana Northeastern Railroad in Ohio will soon be upgraded to a Federal Railroad Administration Class 2 after the Ohio Rail Development Commission (ORDC) gave the green light to
