MBTA Completes Track Work on Orange Line; Removes Six Speed Restrictions

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In Amtrak’s General and Legislative Annual Report & Fiscal Year 2025 Grant Request, it details a Great Lakes Stations Improvement program.
The MBTA’s Green Line Transformation program (GLT) will accelerate the Green Line D Track and Signal Replacement Project to complete the most disruptive track replacement work by early fall 2021.
This weekend, Sat. May 15 and Sun. May 16, there will be no subway service on the portion of Line 1 between Sheppard-Yonge and St Clair stations due to track maintenance.
Effective immediately, eastbound Train 203, departing Millennium Station at 6:10a and arriving at Gary Metro Center at 7:07a, will be canceled Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week through early April 2021.
