The 30th Annual AAR Research Review will take place from April 29th to May 1st this year, and it is the “premier platform for rail industry professionals, engineering researchers, and technology innovators.” MxV Rail went on to state that it “brings together the best minds to address the rail sector’s most significant technical challenges while showcasing advancements that shape its future.”

MxV Rail’s AVP Research and Innovation Scott Cummings said, “Erik exemplifies the cutting-edge, forward-thinking leadership we need to drive rail safety and efficiency into the future. . . The work TTX is doing now on reliable fleet solutions, optimizing car build and car maintenance specifications, and exploring technology integration is relevant to all our industry stakeholders and will be an energizing opener to the conference.”
MxV Rail encourages those interested to register now as it includes a spot at the Early Career Railroader (ECRR) workshop that takes place on April 29th at no additional cost. It allows early career railroaders to connect with industry professionals and mentors. The agenda “includes an overview of the industry’s diverse research topics, from track construction to metallurgy and software programs, understanding the art and science of instrumentation, and updates on artificial intelligence in the railways.”
To encourage registration, MxV Rail states 5 reasons to attend the AAR Research Review in 2025. These include: Exclusive SRI Program Insights that will layout a vision for a new digital twin of the FAST® loop operation and report from its research portfolio; MxV Rail Facilitated Experiences from experts to guide registrants to key locations of the FAST track walk; Networking Opportunities; Hands-On Learning for Early Career Railroaders within sessions that are “designed to deepen your expertise in vehicle/track interaction, simulation software, and more,”; and Sponsorship Opportunities wherein sponsors will be able to connect and network with attendees and increase brand visibility.
