$1M for Track Expansion and Rehabilitation for Chautauqua County

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, N.Y. – As part of a $111.1 million investment, $1 million will go to Chautauqua County, New York for the Monofrax track expansion and rehabilitation.

Chautauqua County in New York will receive more than $1 million in funding for rail infrastructure. As part of New York’s port and freight rail infrastructure, the funding comes as part of a $111.1 million investment, according to a report from WRFA, and it is the largest amount awarded “under the state’s Passenger and Freight Rail Assistance Program.” The program will help to fund close to 40 projects. 

$1.082 million will go to the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency for the Monofrax track expansion and rehabilitation to reduce truck loads and improve efficiency.
