The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced a travel advisory for PATH Grove St. Station rehabilitation that will begin in January 2024. During the weekend of January 6, 2024, crews will begin rehabilitation that will last 20 weekends and will require passengers to account for additional travel time if their trip starts or ends at Grove St.

During this time, crews will replace floor tiles, patch and repaint areas throughout the station, refinish platform columns, and install LED lighting and 4.7 miles of electrical wiring in the station, according to the bi-state agency. This comes as part of the efforts to modernize the 115-year-old PATH system.

The project consists of two phases and last over 20 weekends. During the first phase, from 6:00 a.m. Saturdays to 11:59 p.m. Sundays, Journal Square- and Newark-Penn Station-bound trains will bypass Grove St. Similarly, during the second phase, from 6:00 a.m. Saturdays to 11:59 p.m. Sundays, World Trade Center-bound and Hoboken/33 St.-bound trains will bypass Grove St. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has detailed the routes passengers can take during each phase here.
