Kari Gonzales has been named as vice president and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Transportation Technology Center, Inc. (TTCI).

“I have been privileged to watch Kari’s career from the time she was an intern until now,” said TTCI President Lisa Stabler. “She is a logical thinker with great analytical skills that will serve her well in this new position. I’m very happy to have her be a part of Team TTCI.”

TTCI said Gonzales has been with the facility for 16 years, having started at TTCI as an intern while she was earning her degree at the Colorado School of Mines in mechanical engineering.

Gonzales began her career at TTCI as an engineer in 2002 and was involved in the development of testing wayside detector systems and finite element modeling of railroad castings.

She was chosen in 2012 as an inaugural candidate for TTCI’s Railroad Exchange program, which entailed spending a year with BNSF at the railroad’s Fort Worth, Texas, headquarters as part of the Condition Based Maintenance team.

Gonzales later returned to TTCI and served as the Committee Manager for the Association of American Railroads’ Equipment Engineering committee, and managed TTCI’s Internal Research and Development Program.

In 2016, she moved to TTCI’s business office after earning her MBA from Regis University. She was promoted to assistant vice president of Business Services in 2018.

TTCI is located in Pueblo, Colo. The facility spans 52 square miles and provides technology solutions for the railway industry throughout North America and worldwide.
