Polycorp Acquires Iron Horse Engineering Co.

NEW YORK CITY - Polycorp, a manufacturer of engineered elastomer solutions, announced it has acquired Iron Horse Engineering Company.

Iron Horse Engineering Company was founded in 1987 and is known for its work in embedded track applications, according to the release. The transaction brings together these two companies and their respective technologies, “geographic reach, and comprehensive rail product portfolios.” With this acquisition, the product offerings, customer service support, and engineering resources are increased. Polycorp states it is committed to a “seamless transition” for its employees, customers, and project partners.

“This acquisition marks an important milestone for Polycorp,” said Andrew Thompson, CEO of Polycorp. “By bringing together our technologies, product portfolios, and customer partnerships, we are strengthening our commitment to the rail industry and advancing our shared legacy of innovation across both light and heavy rail applications.”
