Union Pacific updates Q4 2017 PTC progress

NTSB says fatigue caused LIRR, NJ Transit accidents

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) determined that two commuter railroad terminal accidents in the New York area were caused by engineer fatigue resulting from undiagnosed severe obstructive sleep apnea.

Lindamood named Alaska Railroad VP of engineering

Brian Lindamood has been promoted to vice president engineering at the Alaska Railroad and will oversee the evaluation, planning and construction of the railroad’s infrastructure including engineering, bridge maintenance and construction, and capital project management.
