NEW ORLEANS/FORT WORTH, Texas - American Track, a subsidiary of North American Rail Solutions, names Stacey Posey as its new Chief Operating Officer. Port of New Orleans appoints Chris Gilmore as Chief Engineering Officer.
American Track
Stacey Posey brings more than 26 years of experience in “operations, corporate strategy, and business development” to American Track. In 2001, Posey began his career in rail at CSX serving in engineering and transportation positions. Posey later served as vice president of operations and president and CEO of Montana Rail Link. Additionally, he has served in leadership roles at OmniTRAX, “where he contributed to engineering, operations, and acquisitions, and a tenure in the construction technology sector, where he successfully positioned a software startup for acquisition,” according to the release.
North American Rail Solutions CEO Tom Lucario said, “American Track and North American Rail Solutions continue to experience remarkable growth, creating the need to expand our executive group at American Track with outstanding railroad professionals. We could not be happier to have the opportunity to add someone of Stacey’s caliber to the team. We look forward to bringing his ‘in the field’ style of leadership to the broader organization.”
Port of New Orleans
Port NOLA announced Chris Gilmore will serve as Chief Engineering Officer. Previously, Gilmore served as Vice President of Engineering & Program Management where he worked as the project leader for the Louisiana International Terminal (LIT), according to Port NOLA. As Chief Engineering Officer, Gilmore will oversee the engineering, facilities, maintenance, and environmental teams.
In 2021, Gilmore joined Port NOLA after serving 26 years with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. During that time, he oversaw more than $3 billion in projects dedicated to infrastructure, civil works, and capital improvement for the New Orleans area. His work encompassed “planning, design, construction, oversight and closeout of approximately 18 miles of levees, one mile of flood walls, four pump stations, and numerous drainage structures,” according to Port NOLA. Gilmore holds a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of New Orleans, is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Louisiana, and completed a graduate program at Notre Dame of Maryland University in Risk Management Decision Making.
President and CEO of Port NOLA and CEO of New Orleans Public Belt (NOPB) Beth Branch said, “Chris has proven himself as a thoughtful, results-driven leader who consistently delivers complex projects critical to our future. . . He brings deep expertise, institutional knowledge, and unwavering dedication to guide our infrastructure strategy, most notably the transformative Louisiana International Terminal project that will strengthen Louisiana’s role as a global gateway.”
President and CEO Branch added that Gilmore’s “appointment reflects Port NOLA’s commitment to advancing exceptional talent from within the organization. . . We look forward to his continued leadership in advancing the Port’s mission to support international trade and economic growth for Louisiana and the region.”
