SACRAMENTO – CHSRA extends its deadline to submit an SOQ to April 4, 2024.

California High-Speed Rail Authority has extended its deadline to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for a Design Services for Track and OCS contract. The deadline is now April 4, 2024. CHSRA will also host a virtual Q&A on January 30, 2024, and interested parties can sign up for that here.

According to the announcement, the “purpose of the Design Services for Track and OCS RFQ is to award an agreement to one successful consultant to design track and overhead contact system elements that cover the entire guideway from Merced to Bakersfield (approximately 171 miles).” The work will include “managing design interfaces with future contracts including, but not limited to, the track and OCS construction contract, systems design and construction contractor, facilities and stations design and construction contract(s), and the trainsets manufacturer.”

Additionally, the deadline to submit RFQ questions is February 9, 2024. After the SOQ due date, the Anticipated Notice of the Proposed Award will occur in May 2024 with an Anticipated Contract Execution and Notice to Proceed in June.
