The March 2023 issue of RT&S is now on line. This month, we have our regular March piece on ballast maintenance, featuring the product and service offerings of eight vendors.
We have two reports on short line activities. The first is a discussion with the Louisville & Indiana Railroad team (an Acostia property) about the work on their bridge over the Ohio River. A former Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail bridge, this massive structure is impressive. In addition to the discussion to the bridge project, the article offers several dynamic photographs of the bridge.
The second short line activity feature is a conversation with Doc Claussen about best practices around short line maintenance of way.
We have our regular departments providing news on the NRC, AREMA, and introduce a new news feature this month called “Special Report.” And we look at several big stories in NewsWatch.
TTC Operated by Ensco has a strong column on track geometry analysis using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, and we wrap up with my “From the Dome” feature on the need for Short Line Disaster Relief Legislation.
