The government of Canada and TransLink are each contributing C$17.498 million to replace approximately 12.6 miles (20.2 kilometers) of running rail and some 24,000 rail pads for SkyTrain’s Expo Line in metro Vancouver.
Service on the Canada Line between Bridgeport Station and Richmond-Brighouse Station will be temporarily impacted due to construction from April 11 until May 12, allowing construction crews to continue work on the new Capstan Station, TransLink announced April 4.
The Mayors’ Council on Regional Transportation and the TransLink Board of Directors approved the largest investment in Metro Vancouver, B.C., transportation in the region’s history June 28, officials said.
