Loram Technologies, Inc. on May 3 held a groundbreaking ceremony in Georgetown, Tex., for its new Global Rail Campus, which will comprise a corporate office and facility for the production and manufacture of maintenance-of-way equipment and inspection technologies.

U.S. Rep. John Carter (R-Tex.), Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder, Loram Technologies, Inc. President Greg Grissom and Loram Corporation (Loram) CEO Bradley Willems delivered remarks at the event. More more than 100 stakeholders were in attendance, including Matt Ginsberg, President of TGA AMS, LLC, and Mike McGonagle, Vice President Government Affairs for the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA) and Vice President Government Affairs and Operations for the National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association (NRC). Loram Technologies, Inc. is a member of both REMSA and NRC, U.S. trade associations that advocate on behalf of railroad suppliers and contractors.

“Our company’s story of maintaining the safety culture we have established while maintaining growth is something in which we take a lot of pride, and I was glad we had the opportunity to share that today [May 3],” said Loram Technologies, Inc. Vice President Sales and Business Development Nate Bachman, who serves as Vice Chairman of the REMSA Board of Directors.

Loram Technologies, Inc. employs more than 100 people in Georgetown to manufacture and provide m/w equipment and services to customers. Its new 92,000 square-foot facility with rail access will be constructed soon, according to the company.
