TranSystems, which provides engineering and architectural planning, design and construction services to railroads, has promoted Andrew Stanevicius of the firm’s San Diego, Calif., office to serve as assistant vice president and associate.

Stanevicius brings more than two decades of consulting experience. Since he joined TranSystems, he has held various leadership roles, ranging from project manager to San Diego area manager, the firm said. Stanevicius and his team work to develop simulation and analytical solutions to aid clients in strategic operational decision making.

TranSystems explained that as a nominee for associate, Stanevicius was evaluated based on client relationships and sales, his management and operations abilities and specialized skills or subject matter expertise.

Stanevicius’ promotion is part of an annual process determined by the firm’s partner performance and development committee, TranSystems said. The committee was established in 2003 to improve the company’s leadership development standards by creating a formalized process for selecting future company leaders and owners.

Stanevicius is an alumnus of San Diego State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering.
