ATLANTA — Norfolk Southern has extended its partnership with Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC). NS has committed $250,000 per year over the next two years to continue powering ATDC’s Sustainability Tech vertical.

The renewed investment builds on a successful multi-year collaboration that has positioned ATDC as one of Georgia’s leading platforms for founders developing solutions that address climate, energy, and environmental challenges.

The ATDC Sustainability Tech vertical was launched in 2023 with initial support from Norfolk Southern, and has become on of the largest and fastest-growing verticles at the Center. The program has supported more than 35 sustainability focused portfolio companies, along with engaging additional startups across the broader portfolio of ATDC. The vertical comprises 29 active companies today, and includes industries such as circular economy technologies, renewable energy, ag tech, water tech, climate data solutions, and energy efficiency.
