RailWorks is introducing RailWorks Insight at Railway Interchange 2019.

RailWorks Corp., a rail track construction and maintenance services provider in North America, is introducing RailWorks Insight, a comprehensive digital track inspection management system, at Railway Interchange 2019 in Minneapolis.

RailWorks Insight is a web-based tool providing vital information for rail operation managers when and where they need it. Via a secure web portal, customers are able to view track inspection reports, budget planning functions, data on previous work done at the site, marked map GPS locations, pictures, preventive maintenance and inspection schedule management and documented track assets.

RailWorks’ experienced team of track inspectors upload, in real-time, photos with GPS-mapped locations of track defects and detailed inspection reports via a tablet in the field. Further, the system and the expert inspectors operating the system are able to provide analysis about the severity of the defect, which in turn allows the customer to make decisions with the most detailed, up-to-date information available.

“RailWorks Insight is really a game changer for rail inspections,” said Kevin Riddett, RailWorks President and CEO. “Insight takes a leap forward in intelligent infrastructure management by digitizing what used to be paper forms and allowing operations managers to manage their properties more efficiently and safely.”

RailWorks Insight is already in use by several customers in the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. RailWorks will be rolling out additional Insight functionalities in the coming months.
