Eleven Hopedale residents have managed to put a land agreement with a short line railroader on pause.

A train carrying propane has derailed in Plainville, Conn. The train went off the tracks at the intersection of Russell Avenue and Roosevelt Street, which is near the sight of a train derailment that happened in 2017.

Fire officials say the conductor of the train had to jump off the train while three cars tipped over. No injuries have been reported and there were no propane explosions.

A crane was used to lift the railcars back on their wheels. The Department of Energy & Environmental Protection was notified.

This story is still developing and RT&S will provide more information if and when it becomes available.
