Holland Expands Welding Portfolio

UNIVERSITY PARK, Ill. - Holland has acquired key products, technologies, and intellectual property from ARR Rail Solutions Ltd.
ARR Solutions Ltd. is based in the United Kingdom and specializes in novel weld restoration machines, according to the release. This expands Holland’s own welding portfolio “with new automated technologies and additive manufacturing capabilities for defect remediation and the restoration of special track work.” Holland says this expansion will integrate technologies and expertise from ARR Rail Solutions with Holland to improve “offerings in mobile welding, automated rail repair, and component restoration.” It allows for the continuation of its investment and commitment to sustainable maintenance solutions, says Holland.
Holland President Chris Vazzana said, “This acquisition is a strong strategic fit with Holland’s existing flash-butt welding and HAMR technologies. . . Leveraging ARR Rail’s Innovative automated and additive technologies alongside our own strengthens our ability to advance how railroads maintain, restore, and extend the life of critical track infrastructure.”
ARR Rail Solutions Executive Director Jay Jaiswal said, “We are delighted that Holland has agreed to acquire our weld restoration technology. . . We have great confidence that it will be brought to market through the expertise of the Holland team. ARR is excited to partner and support the development of this technology for North America and global markets beyond Europe.”
