DALLAS - RailPros announced October 9 that it has acquired Design Nine, Inc.
Design Nine, Inc. is based in St. Louis and was founded in 1986, according to the release from RailPros. It offers rail engineering services that encompass rehabilitation of bridges, site development, facility design, inspection services, and construction support, among others. Design Nine’s St. Louis office “strengthens location-based support” for RailPros’ clients in the area. RailPros says St. Louis serves as a freight gateway for Class Is, and as such, the office is close in proximity to a range of freight, passenger, and short line clients. RailPros has offices located across North America and provides engineering services for the rail industry.
RailPros CEO Ken Goff said, “Design Nine has a strong reputation for excellence in our industry . . . Adding this group of talented individuals to Team RailPros enables us to expand our services to our collective clients, and to continue to provide exceptional service to the North American rail industry.”
Design Nine President Glenn Hay said, “We have witnessed the steady progress and growth of RailPros’ rail practice and were attracted to their people centric culture and service excellence commitment; the RailPros team is something special. . . We look forward to being part of Team RailPros and the opportunities ahead of us.”
