ASHTABULA, Ohio - Delta Railroad Services introduces a Rail Unloader Car (RUC).

Delta Railroad Services says the RUC is the “first-of-its-kind, state-of-the-art machine” that is designed to improve speed, safety, and efficiency when unloading “up to 1600′ Continuous Welded Rail (CWR) strings from railcars.” The RUC’s design allows for better distribution of CWR strings “directly from railcars onto the track bed.”

The RUC uses a self-contained system to offload CWR strings along tangents and curves and can “unload a single railcar in a fraction of the time it takes using traditional methods.” Additionally, the RUC can adapt to various railcar types and rail sizes. Delta Railroad Services says the RUC is integrated into the consist and can move throughout a rail network easily.

This not only protects our frontline construction crews, but also dramatically increases productivity for crews across the the United States and North America.”

COO Steven Pratt said, “Every machine that leaves our shop is built with our customer in mind – their comfort, safety, and operational needs.”
